On September 20th, Yan Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China Building Materials Federation, went to Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company for a special survey, delving into the production workshop of fiber optic prefabricated rods and wire drawing to understand the research and development, production, and application of new materials for fiber optic prefabricated rods, fiber optic cables, and quartz glass. Ma Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Poly Huaxin, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, accompanied the research.

During the symposium, Yan Xiaofeng expressed appreciation for the company for actively expanding its quartz glass new material business and achieving diversified development based on its deep cultivation of fiber optic and optical cable businesses. He pointed out that inorganic non-metallic new materials, as one of the three major fields in the building materials industry, have played an increasingly important role in China's defense industry and national economic development. He hopes that they can make good use of its hybrid ownership advantages, increase cooperation with universities and research institutes within and outside the industry, and make more breakthroughs in the research and development of new materials for quartz glass based on the urgent needs of the country. With more original technologies, the industry can achieve a leap from technological catch-up to technological leadership.

Ma Jie introduced the development and evolution process of the Company and its production and operation situation, and expressed gratitude to CBMF for its long-term care and support.  He stated that the research and development, production, and sales of new materials for special quartz glass are important areas for the company's future development. Next, the company will actively participate in various work such as the "open competition mechanism" of the Building Materials Federation, and strive to provide material support for the innovation and tackling of major equipment and key technologies in the country and industry, making its own contribution.
