On September 25th, Yan Xiaofeng, President of the China Building Materials Federation, met with Ms. Stephanie Duran, Director of the DOE China office at the US Embassy. Liu Jianhua, Vice President of the CBMF, attended the meeting. 

Yan Xiaofeng welcomed the visit of Ms. Stephanie Duran, and her team, and introduced the overall situation of China's building materials industry in recent years in promoting green and low-carbon transformation and development under the guidance of the "dual carbon" goal, as well as the innovative work organized by CBMF to carry out industry "Open competition mechanism" in technology research, and create "six-zero" demonstration factories. He hoped that both sides can further deepen exchanges and cooperation in green carbon reduction technologies, and promote the green, low-carbon, safe, and high-quality development of China's building materials industry.

Ms. Stephanie Duran stated that many of the work of the CBMF is innovative and forward-looking, especially in proposing and promoting the construction of the "Six Zero" demonstration factory in the building materials industry, which is at the forefront of the world. She introduced the work of the US Department of Energy in improving energy efficiency, promoting industrial carbon reduction, and conducting research and application of CCUS technology. She hoped to further strengthen communication and cooperation with CBMF to better assist the building materials industry in addressing challenges and achieving green and low-carbon development.
