On November 6th, Yan Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China Building Materials Federation, met with Zhi Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Building Materials Academy.
During the meeting, Yan Xiaofeng pointed out that the CBMA is the most influential research institute in the industry, with a long history and rich heritage. It was once the cradle of technological innovation in the building materials industry. He has high expectations for the new team of CNBM and the new ideas and initiatives of CNBM's science and technology innovation strategy under the new situation. He emphasized that CNBM should adhere to the essence of scientific and technological innovation, build itself into the "Central Research Institute" of CNBM and even the entire building materials industry, provide strong support for the scientific and technological progress of the building materials industry, make great efforts in the research and development of original technologies, and take the lead in the research and development of projects such as inorganic non-metallic "super materials" and other joint "open mechanism to select the best candidates" projects, to make greater contributions to meet the urgent needs of major national and industry strategies.
Zhi Xiao thanked the Federation for its long-term concern and support for the development of CNBM. He introduced the latest progress of the scientific and technological research projects, as well as the related work of building a source of original technology and "Belt and Road" international scientific and technological innovation cooperation. He said that CNBM will try its best to shoulder the important mission and responsibility of a centralized research institute, do the "difficult but correct" things unremittingly, and contribute to the scientific and technological progress of the country and the industry. He hoped that the CBMF would continue to care and support the development of the Academy, and CBMA would actively support and deeply participate in the work organized by the Federation, including the "open mechanism to select the best candidates" scientific and technological research.
