On November 16, Ms. Katarina Barunica, Industrial Development Officer the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and her delegation visited China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), and Liu Jianhua, Vice President of CBMF, welcomed them.

The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation and jointly promoting the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the building materials industry, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention in the following three aspects. Firstly, the two sides will establish a joint working group, and each side will designate relevant staff to set up a long-term, effective and stable communication mechanism and the leadership of both parties will communicate regularly. Secondly, the two sides will strive to cooperate in carrying out a special study on carbon emission reduction in building materials and activities such as International Forum on Carbon Emission Reduction in Building Materials Industry, so as to strengthen the exchange and cooperation of international building materials counterparts. Thirdly, the two sides will further discuss the establishment of the "China Building Materials Industry Low Carbon Development Promotion Center" and other matters, so as to jointly promote the carbon emission reduction process in the building materials industry.
