Recently, the China Machinery, Metallurgy, and Building Materials Union and the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF) held the 2025 annual joint meeting in Beijing. The meeting was attended and chaired by Yan Xiaofeng, Party Secretary and President of CBMF. Also present were Li Ruiyi, Chairman and Party Group Secretary of the Machinery, Metallurgy, and Building Materials Trade Union; Zhang Jie, Vice Chairman and Party Group Member of the Trade Union; Chen Guoqing, Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of CBMF; and Shang Yanqing, Party Standing Committee Member, Secretary-General, and Chairman of the Union.
Yan Xiaofeng expressed sincere gratitude for its long-standing support of the building materials industry and the CBMF’s work. He emphasized that the CBMF adheres to the guiding principle of "setting the direction, clarifying positioning, establishing goals, and addressing major issues, building mechanisms and promoting development." In line with the development goal of "Superior products and advanced industry, for the benefit of mankind," CBMF has actively fulfilled its responsibilities in policy research and industry monitoring, technological leadership and innovation, standards management and quality enhancement, and international exchange and cooperation, achieving significant results.
He highlighted the close collaboration between the two organizations in successfully hosting events such as the first National "Red Flag Cup" Team Leader Competition (Building Materials Track) and the Building Materials Industry Design Innovation Competition. He expressed hope that both sides would continue their strong cooperation to organize the National Team Leader Competition (Building Materials Track), the Building Materials Frontline Workers Innovation Award, and the Building Materials Industry Design Innovation Competition to jointly advance industrial workforce development reform and skill enhancement in the building materials sector.
Li Ruiyi thanked CBMF for its continuous support and assistance in the work of the Machinery, Metallurgy, and Building Materials Union. He highly praised the CBMF’s series of effective measures in promoting high-quality development in the industry and acknowledged the positive outcomes achieved through joint activities. Additionally, he provided recommendations on strengthening ideological guidance for workers, deepening collaboration, and expanding the scope of cooperation.
This meeting reinforced the commitment of both organizations to advancing industry development, fostering workforce skills, and enhancing collaboration for the future.
