On March 19, Yan Xiaofeng, President of the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), met with Liu Yingjun, Standing Committee Member of the Shaanxi Provincial CPPCC and Chairman of the Shaanxi Economic Federation, and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the development trends of the building materials industry and strategies for industry transformation and upgrading, reaching a consensus on further strengthening cooperation. The meeting was attended by Chen Guoqing, Executive Vice President of CBMF; Sun Xingshou, Vice President of CBMF; as well as Wang Fenli and Xiang Hongru, Vice Presidents of the Shaanxi Economic Federation.
Yan Xiaofeng noted that the traditional building materials industry is facing downward pressure, while the proportion of emerging industries within the sector remains relatively low, highlighting structural challenges. He emphasized that the industry must fully leverage national policies to achieve stable growth, structural adjustment, and efficiency improvement. It is essential to make full use of market mechanisms to develop emerging industries, accelerate the structural transformation of traditional industries, and establish a dynamic market supply-demand balance. Additionally, under the guidance of government authorities, the industry must strengthen anti-monopoly and anti-dumping measures, prevent substandard products from entering the market, and foster a fair and competitive market environment.
Yan stressed that enterprises must proactively adapt to change and implement the "sevenfold efforts" strategy to enhance their core competitiveness, create new market demands and opportunities, and respond to evolving industry dynamics with precision, comprehensiveness, and a long-term perspective. He affirmed CBMF’s continued support for the development of Shaanxi’s building materials industry and expressed hope that the Shaanxi Economic Federation would play an active role in guiding and serving the sector, facilitating industry restructuring and transformation in the province.
Liu Yingjun expressed gratitude for CBMF’s long-standing support and attention to the building materials industry in Shaanxi. He provided an overview of the province’s industrial development, particularly the current state, industry structure, and transformation efforts within Shaanxi’s building materials sector. He emphasized the need to strengthen communication and collaboration with CBMF, seeking its guidance and support in areas such as industrial planning, technological innovation, and the development of emerging industries, with the goal of promoting the high-quality development of Shaanxi’s building materials industry.
