On November 2nd, the "2024 Trade-In Deals for Building Materials Promotion Conference and Key Enterprise Implementation Plan Launch," co-hosted by the China Building Materials Federation, China Association of Decorative Building Materials, and China Building Materials Market Association, and supported by Red Star Macalline Group, was held in Beijing. This conference aimed to unite building materials companies and home furnishings marketplaces to offer consumers quality building materials and services. The event launched a nationwide, industry-wide campaign to promote trade-in deals for building materials, fostering consumer interest in home improvement, unlocking potential in the home and building materials market, and advancing living environment quality.
Chen Guoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the China Building Materials Federation, attended and delivered a speech. Other attendees included Shi Yijun, Deputy Director of the Building Materials Division, Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ji Tingchao, Vei Hanbo, Deputy Director of the Beijing Center for Building Energy Conservation and Materials Management, and Chen Chao, Director of the Building Materials Management Division. Special Vice President of the Federation and President of the China Building Materials Market Association Qu Jiaosheng, Wang Baoxiang, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association of Decorative Building Materials, and Ding Lizhong, Secretary-General of the China Building Materials Market Association were also present. The event attracted over 80 representatives from major industry enterprises and media, including Economic Daily, People's Daily Online, Xinhua, CCTV, and others. Sun Xingshou, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Economist of the China Building Materials Federation, presided over the conference.
Chen Guoqing Highlights Key Goals and Measures in Opening Speech
In his remarks, Chen Guoqing emphasized the trade-in deals initiative as a crucial measure in implementing central government directives, noting its role in stabilizing growth and boosting consumption. Under the guidance of departments such as MIIT and the Ministry of Commerce, the China Building Materials Federation aims to bring together various forces to ensure the success of the initiative. Chen outlined several priorities: encouraging local governments to introduce policies supporting high-quality building materials consumption, expanding publicity to motivate businesses to provide consumers with greener building materials and better incentives, and enhancing service convenience to make the trade-in process easier. He also stressed the importance of integrating this initiative with the rural green building materials initiative to bring eco-friendly products into more homes. Additionally, he highlighted the need to share successful models from regions and enterprises to set examples that inspire further engagement.
Implementation Plan for Key Enterprises Unveiled
The "2024 Trade-In Deals for Building Materials Action Implementation Plan for Key Participating Enterprises" has been rolled out nationwide, including eight major categories and 43 leading companies across a wide range of products—lightweight materials, coatings, ceramics, wall and ceiling products, doors and windows, drying racks, furniture, and flooring. These products are accompanied by "delivery, dismantling, installation, and recycling" services and attractive discounts, reaching consumers through in-store, online, and marketplace channels.
During the event, Qu Jiaosheng announced the "2024 Trade-In Deals for Building Materials Action Implementation Plan for Key Participating Enterprises." Wang Baoxiang read the "Initiative for Trade-In Deals for Building Materials," jointly issued by the China Building Materials Federation, China Association of Decorative Building Materials, and China Building Materials Market Association.

Representatives from major enterprises, including Red Star Macalline, Jomoo Kitchen & Bath, Beixin Group Building Materials, and OPPLE Smart Technologies, introduced their trade-in initiatives and implementation outcomes.
Certificates were presented to the key enterprises promoting the initiative, and the official launch ceremony of the "2024 Trade-In Deals for Building Materials" took place, marking the beginning of this significant industry-wide campaign.
