On May 24, the 2025 Nationwide Building Materials Trade-In and Green Building Materials Promotion Campaign (Shaanxi Stop) was successfully held in Xi’an. The event was jointly hosted by the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), China Building Materials Circulation Association, and China Building Decoration and Renovation Materials Association, and organized by Yuandian New City. As the first stop of this year’s national campaign series, the event aimed to mobilize building materials enterprises and home furnishing retailers to jointly advance the trade-in initiative and promote green building materials in rural and urban communities, accelerate the renewal of home renovation products, stimulate green consumption, and improve the consumer experience and quality of life.
Sun Xingshou, Standing Committee Member and Vice President of CBMF, and Liu Yingjun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the CPPCC and President of the Shaanxi Economic Federation, attended and delivered speeches. The event was chaired by Qu Jiaosheng, Vice President of CBMF and President of the China Building Materials Circulation Association. Other distinguished guests included Liang Xiaofeng, Director of the Raw Materials Division of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; Wang Fenli, Vice President of the Shaanxi Economic Federation; Zhou Wei, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Shaanxi Building Materials Industry Association; Li Jihe, Chairman of Yuandian New City; representatives from key participating enterprises; and media representatives.
Sun Xingshou, Vice President of CBMF, Delivers Opening Remarks
In his remarks, Vice President Sun emphasized that promoting the trade-in initiative and application of green building materials is a key step in implementing the decisions of the CPC Central Committee. It plays a crucial role in stabilizing industry growth. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Commerce, CBMF will unite stakeholders across the industry to ensure practical results in advancing the trade-in initiative and the promotion of green building materials.
He called for stronger policy support from all levels of government to boost consumption of high-quality building materials. Enterprises should be encouraged to offer consumers more environmentally friendly, high-quality products along with greater incentives and more accessible services—making it easier to trade in old products and more attractive to adopt new ones. Greater efforts must be made to promote green building materials and bring them into thousands of households.
He further urged the industry to publicize exemplary trade-in implementation cases in key regions and showcase effective enterprise models and outcomes to create demonstration effects. Enterprises should seize the opportunity presented by this national campaign and actively participate, achieving win-win outcomes for both companies and consumers. He also called on government departments to continue supporting this initiative and introduce more policy measures to help improve the living conditions and quality of life for the public.

Liu Yingjun stated that Shaanxi will take this opportunity to accelerate the construction of a green building materials industrial system and empower high-quality development through green transformation. He noted that this aligns with China’s dual carbon strategy, promotes industrial upgrading, fosters new quality productive forces, and encourages green consumption. Shaanxi will leverage its advantages in resources, policy, innovation, and market potential to activate new drivers of green consumption and build a new green building materials ecosystem.
The Shaanxi Economic Federation will continue supporting the high-quality development of the building materials sector by focusing on policy guidance, industry standards, technological innovation, and talent development, and by promoting platforms, standard-setting, and industry-academia collaboration.

Enterprise representatives, including Liu Ting (Marketing Planning, Yuandian New City), Shao Wengang (Home Decoration Division Manager, Dragon Brand Group, Northwest Region), Chen Shiqing (Secretary-General of the Sustainability Committee and Quality Director, Dongpeng Holdings), and Yuan Chun (Regional Channel Manager, SKSHU Paint), shared their respective initiatives and results in promoting green building materials and trade-in activities.
A formal launching ceremony was held for the Shaanxi leg of the campaign.
After the meeting, guests and representatives visited the Yuandian Trade-In Exhibition Hall.
