
On 4 March, Mr. Yan Xiaofeng,President of the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), met in Beijing with a delegation led by Jing Shiqing,Chairman of China Resources Building Materials Technology Holdings Limited. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the development trends of the building materials industry and key priorities for the sector during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, including cement capacity governance, green and low-carbon transition, innovation-driven development, and international expansion.
Also attending the meeting were Chen Guoqing, Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of CBMF; Sun Xingshou, Member of the Party Standing Committee, Vice President and Chief Economist of CBMF; Xie Ji, Deputy Party Secretary and President of China Resources Building Materials Technology Holdings Limited; and Liu Wei, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the company.
Yan Xiaofeng welcomed Jing Shiqing and his delegation and commended China Resources Building Materials Technology for its achievements in strengthening the core competitiveness of its main businesses, optimizing production capacity structure, and advancing the green and low-carbon transition. He noted that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the building materials industry should further strengthen scientific and technological innovation and vigorously develop new quality productive forces. Efforts should focus on upgrading traditional building materials industries, fostering the growth of the inorganic non-metallic new materials sector, and integrating and enhancing the non-metallic mineral resources industry, thereby forming the sector’s “three major development engines.” These initiatives will help build a new development model for the industry and promote higher quality and greater efficiency.
Yan also emphasized the importance of further enhancing the internationalization of the building materials industry to expand development space. He expressed hope that China Resources Building Materials Technology would continue to play a leading role in the sector by scientifically planning its development for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, addressing development bottlenecks through technological innovation, actively participating in cement capacity governance, facilitating both domestic and international circulation, and cultivating new growth drivers. He added that the China Building Materials Federation will continue to support the company and deepen cooperation to jointly explore new models for industry development.
Jing Shiqing expressed appreciation for the long-standing guidance and support from the Federation. He introduced the company’s recent progress in business development, structural adjustment, and green and low-carbon transformation, as well as its future plans. He stated that China Resources Building Materials Technology will continue to actively integrate into the overall development of the industry, deeply participate in initiatives such as cement capacity governance, and continuously enhance its capabilities in technological innovation and international operations in order to improve development quality and competitiveness.
