On June 2, the "Six Zero Green Building Materials Day" public open day activity themed "Marching Towards Carbon Neutrality, Embarking on a New Journey of Six Zero" was carried out at Bengbu China United Cement Co., Ltd. Leaders of the Tianhe Science and Technology Park Management Committee of Bengbu City, Anhui Province, cooperative clients, employee family members, and representatives of the social public walked into the plant area to explore the green and intelligent production lines up close, experiencing the green and low-carbon development achievements of the building materials enterprise in an immersive way.
As one of the stations for the 2026 "Six Zero Green Building Materials Day" public open day activity, Bengbu China United comprehensively displayed the enterprise's achievements in green development, safe production, and intelligent manufacturing construction through the launching ceremony, on-site observation, achievement exhibition, and interactive exchanges.
At the launching ceremony, Cao Peng, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Bengbu Tianhe Science and Technology Park, attended and delivered a speech, affirming the achievements made by Bengbu China United in green production, safety management, and ecological restoration, and hoping that the enterprise will continuously deepen its cultivation of low-carbon development, strengthen government-enterprise coordination, and help upgrade the quality and efficiency of the green industries in the park.
Zhang Haiyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Bengbu China United, stated in his speech that Bengbu China United firmly adheres to the responsibility of a central enterprise, deeply cultivating ultra-low emission, solid waste resource utilization, and mine ecological restoration work, and has won multiple national-level green honors. Taking this open day as an opportunity, Bengbu China United will continuously advance the construction of "Six Zero" factories, open its doors to accept social supervision, deepen government-enterprise co-construction, and assist regional green and low-carbon development.
After the launching ceremony concluded, the guests, guided by staff members, sequentially visited the corporate culture exhibition hall, the intelligent central control room, environmental protection facilities, and the new energy project site. Real scenes such as advanced intelligent production systems, efficiently operating SCR denitrification equipment, alternative fuel projects, and distributed photovoltaics clearly displayed the enterprise's solid steps toward green, intelligent, and low-carbon transformation, breaking the public's inherent impression of the traditional cement industry.
This activity simultaneously integrated fun interactive experiences with green popular science and safety publicity. An award-winning quiz segment for environmental protection and safety knowledge was set up on-site; everyone enthusiastically participated and interacted, learning low-carbon and safety-related knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere, promoting the deep root of green environmental protection concepts in people's hearts.
This public open day is not only an intuitive window for Bengbu China United to showcase its achievements in green and low-carbon construction, but also a connecting bond to narrow the distance between government and enterprise, as well as society and enterprise. Bengbu China United Cement Co., Ltd. was originally established in October 2009. It is subordinate to China National Building Materials Group (CNBM) and is a key backbone enterprise under China United Cement, which belongs to Tianshan Material in the cement segment. The company has jurisdiction over the Bozhou Branch and manages Huaiyuan China United New Materials Co., Ltd. and Fuyang China United Cement Co., Ltd. on a托管 (trusteeship) basis, forming an integrated industrial layout of clinker, cement, commercial concrete, and aggregates, with its comprehensive production capacity ranking among the top in the building materials industry of Northern Anhui.
The company headquarters is equipped with a 4,500 t/d new dry-process clinker production line, low-temperature waste heat power generation, intelligent cement grinding, and sand and gravel aggregate production lines. It continuously promotes intelligent manufacturing upgrades, having put into use automatic bag inserting, intelligent truck loading, and ERP control systems, continuously optimizing production control processes, and comprehensively improving the enterprise's intelligent and modernized production levels.

It has been rated sequentially as a National-Level Green Factory, a National-Level Green Mine, and a Water-Saving Enterprise of Anhui Province. Relying on the SCR ultra-low emission transformation, it has optimized the waste gas treatment process, with pollutant emissions performing better than the ultra-low emission standards; it vigorously develops a circular economy, harmlessly absorbing and disposing of wastes such as industrial solid waste and waste textiles.
Closely following the "Dual Carbon" goals, the company implemented three major projects—photovoltaic power generation, fuel substitution, and equipment energy conservation—with outstanding results: it built a 3.77-megawatt photovoltaic project, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2,062 tons annually; it disposes of 100,000 tons of alternative fuels annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 110,000 tons; it completed the energy-saving transformation of fans, saving 2.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,341 tons, continuously advancing the construction of "Six Zero" factories.
