
Wu Qingtao, Party Secretary and President of the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), recently met with a visiting delegation led by Li Rongjin, President of the Shandong Building Materials Industry Association.

Wu Qingtao warmly welcomed Li Rongjin and his delegation. He stated that the new Council of the Federation will uphold the principles of "extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits" to continuously strengthen synergy and collaboration with local industry associations.
Wu outlined the development trends of the building materials sector this year, highlighting recent national policy directives and ongoing CBMF initiatives. These key efforts focus on:
Capacity management and structural adjustment
Innovation-driven development
Enhancement of standards and quality
Digital and intelligent transformation
Deepening open international cooperation
He expressed his hope that the Shandong Building Materials Industry Association will continue to act as a crucial bridge, leveraging Shandong’s position as a major building materials province to pioneer advancements in green and low-carbon transformation, core technology R&D, standard-setting, and supply chain synergy.
Li Rongjin expressed sincere gratitude to CBMF for its long-standing guidance and support toward Shandong's building materials industry and association. He provided an overview of the current industry landscape in Shandong, the ongoing transformation and upgrading of key sectors, and the association's recent priority initiatives.
During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on the goals and trends for the building materials industry under the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan. They explored opportunities to further optimize and upgrade traditional sectors in Shandong, cultivate emerging industries, extend industry chains, and enhance international exchanges to jointly drive high-quality development across the building materials sector.
