Wu Qingtao, Party Secretary and President of the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), led a delegation to visit China National Building Material Group (CNBM). The delegation met for a work exchange with Zhou Yuxian, Party Secretary and Chairman of CNBM, and Chang Zhangli, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CNBM. Both sides held in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation and promoting the high-quality development of the building materials industry.

During the meeting, Wu Qingtao expressed his sincere appreciation for CNBM’s long-standing contributions to industry growth and its continuous support for the Federation's work. He noted that as a leading enterprise in the industry, CNBM has consistently demonstrated strong corporate responsibility in formulating and revising industrial policies, driving key technological innovations, and building industry self-discipline.
Wu emphasized that the new Council of the Federation will remain committed to green, low-carbon development and innovation-led growth. Facing evolving market dynamics, the CBMF aims to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional sectors, cultivate and expand the non-metallic materials industry, and optimize the non-metallic mineral resources sector. These efforts are designed to restructure the industry, expand market potential, enhance the industrial ecosystem, and ensure safe, high-quality industry growth.
Moving forward, the Federation will focus its efforts on several key areas:
Managing capacity in basic building materials
Cultivating the non-metallic new materials industry
Promoting "Zero-Carbon, Zero-Waste" ("Six-Zero") demonstrative factories
Integrating "AI + Building Materials" applications
Matching high-quality materials with high-quality housing construction
Wu expressed hope that both organizations will strengthen synergy, enhance overall coordination, deepen strategic cooperation, and jointly promote the healthy, orderly development of the building materials sector.
Zhou Yuxian warmly welcomed the CBMF delegation and thanked the Federation for its long-term guidance and support. He highlighted the deep roots and shared goals between CNBM and the CBMF, reaffirming that CNBM will continue to fully support the Federation's initiatives and leverage its role as an industry leader. He suggested that both sides refine their regular communication mechanisms, deepen collaboration, and work together to foster a favorable policy environment to drive steady industry growth.
Chang Zhangli added that CNBM and the CBMF share a solid foundation across a wide range of business areas. Going forward, CNBM will strengthen headquarter-level coordination to upgrade their partnership into a broader systemic collaboration. CNBM remains committed to actively participating in public industry affairs, supporting CBMF deployments, and jointly addressing industry challenges while capturing new growth opportunities.
This meeting further reinforced the communication channels between the two organizations and clarified key directions for future cooperation. Heads of the CBMF's Industry Department, Science and Technology Development Department, Standards and Quality Department, International Cooperation Department, and Member Services Department accompanied the visit. Department heads from CNBM’s General Office, Corporate Management Department, and Technology Management Department also attended the meeting.
