"Hubei Cement Clinker Output Online Monitoring Platform" Passes Expert Acceptance

On July 29, the China Building Materials Federation (CBMF) organized the acceptance meeting for the "Hubei Cement Clinker Output Online Monitoring Platform" in Wuhan. The meeting was chaired by Sun Xingshou, Resident Vice President and Secretary-General of CBMF.

To implement the requirements on further promoting the standardized management of cement production capacity issued by four government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), CBMF was entrusted to research and propose clinker output monitoring and accounting methods, as well as formulate and release the association group standard Methods for Monitoring and Accounting Clinker Output in the Cement Industry. With support from the Economy and Information Technology Department of Hubei Province, CBMF guided the Hubei Building Materials Federation to build the "Hubei Cement Clinker Output Online Monitoring Platform" based on this standard to practically verify its technical route and implementation methods.

During the meeting, the expert panel listened to reports on platform construction and data traceability evaluation from the Hubei Building Materials Federation (the construction entity) and the Hubei Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology (the technical support entity). The panel reviewed real-time monitoring, data statistics, and anomaly warning functions, and conducted on-site inspections of equipment modification and operation at pilot enterprises. In accordance with relevant standards and acceptance specifications, the panel inquired into and verified the technical route, operational stability, data transmission timeliness, and data quality reliability of the platform.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, the expert panel unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance. The panel recognized that the platform achieves multi-scale data quality control for clinker output—including daily monitoring, monthly accounting, and annual verification—complying with standard requirements such as T/CBMF 367 Methods for Monitoring and Accounting Clinker Output in the Cement Industry and JJF (E) 177 Technical Specification for Carbon Measurement in the Cement Industry: Monitoring and Verification of Clinker Output. The panel concluded that the technical route is feasible, data is thorough and reliable, and the platform operates stably to meet monitoring requirements with potential for expansion into carbon measurement, energy conservation review, and environmental management. Built on a model of "led by the association, supported by metrology, and deployed on the cloud," the platform requires low enterprise modification costs, offers high cost-effectiveness, and holds strong value for broader application.

The successful acceptance of the platform demonstrates that online clinker output monitoring is technically feasible and data-reliable, marking a landmark achievement in cement clinker output monitoring. It provides a practice-verified technical route and operational experience for comprehensive monitoring work, playing a crucial supporting and driving role in further standardizing cement production, cutting total clinker capacity, alleviating overcapacity, and enhancing efficiency across the industry.

The expert panel comprised Sui Mingjie, National Engineering Survey and Design Master and Chief Engineer of Tianjin Cement Industry Design & Research Institute; Zheng Qing, Professorate Senior Engineer at Hefei Cement Research & Design Institute; Xiao Jinsong, Chief Materials Expert at CCID; Li Jian, Associate Researcher at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences; Li Aoxin from the National Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Center; Tu Chi, Senior Engineer at the National Institute of Metrology; Guan Wenlong, Expert-level Senior Engineer at Tianshan Material; and Ma Jun, Manager of the Production Technology Center at Jidong Cement.
