"Six-Zero Green Building Materials Day" public open day activity, themed "Striding Towards Carbon Neutrality, Embarking on a New Journey of Six-Zero," was held at NorthGlass.

From June 4 to 5, the "Six-Zero Green Building Materials Day" public open day activity, themed "Striding Towards Carbon Neutrality, Embarking on a New Journey of Six-Zero," was held at NorthGlass. More than 20 journalists from central and local media organized and led by China Building Materials Magazine, together with representatives and experts from units such as the China Building Materials Federation, CTC Group, and Luoyang Glass Industry Association, jointly explored the high-end equipment manufacturing base of NorthGlass located in Luoyang.

June 6 of each year is the "Six-Zero Green Building Materials Day," which was initiated and established jointly by the China Building Materials Federation as the leader and leading enterprises in the industry. It has now been incorporated into the "Implementation Plan for High-Quality Development of the Green Building Materials Industry" by ten departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, becoming an important brand activity for the domestic building materials industry to display green transformation, low-carbon technologies, and zero-carbon practices. Concurrently, industry public open days are carried out as supporting activities, building a bridge of communication between the industry and the public as well as the media, and intuitively displaying the transformation process of the building materials industry as it bids farewell to high energy consumption and strides toward green smart manufacturing.

As one of the participating enterprises in this year's public open day activities, NorthGlass is renowned for producing high-end equipment and deep-processed glass products. The journalist delegation and industry representatives respectively walked into the NorthGlass High-End Equipment Industrial Park, NorthGlass Ternary Flow Fan Company, and the Luoyang Base of the Glass Deep Processing Division to understand NorthGlass’s green transformation code.

The NorthGlass High-End Equipment Industrial Park covers an area of 510 mu, with a greening area reaching 120,000 square meters; the garden-style park subverts people's traditional impression of equipment manufacturing factories. The curtain wall of the office building is composed of 19 pieces of giant coated laminated insulated glass, with each piece of glass being 18.3 meters high and weighing 8.8 tons, all produced by high-end equipment independently developed by NorthGlass. As an enterprise that provides high-end curtain wall glass products for numerous landmark buildings globally, the curtain wall glass of this office building has become an epitome of the enterprise's research and development (R&D) and production strength.

In the R&D center of NorthGlass Ternary Flow Fan Company, the journalist delegation visited its testing center, which has passed the certification of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and ranked among the national accredited laboratories. In the Luoyang Base of the Glass Deep Processing Division, journalists visited the automated linkage system on-site. This system covers whole-chain processes including intelligent glass warehousing, cutting, edging, and plate sorting, and is an important component of NorthGlass's overall solution for building a "glass deep processing smart factory." Seeing the high-end glass products placed in the finished product area, members of the journalist delegation one after another used cameras and mobile phones to shoot from different angles, striving to display the alternative beauty of glass.

During the symposium session, Gao Xueming, founder and chairman of NorthGlass, delivered a welcome speech. Han Cuiying, president and editor-in-chief of China Building Materials Magazine, introduced the implementation progress of the "Six-Zero Green Building Materials Day" activity. Head of various business sectors of NorthGlass, including Li Chunchao, marketing director of NorthGlass; Li Jiqiang, international sales director of the Tempering Equipment Division of NorthGlass; Li Jiansen, general manager of NorthGlass Ternary Flow Fan Company; Gao Wenhan, intelligent R&D engineer of NorthGlass Automation Company; Zhou Feng, sales director of Luoyang NorthGlass High-Temperature Electric Kiln Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.; and Jin Mingxiang, general manager of NorthGlass Liuli Glass Company, systematically introduced how core products deeply fit with the national "dual carbon" goals. It is understood that technologies in the glass deep processing equipment sector, such as tempering furnaces, Low-E coating lines, automated linkages, and ternary flow fans, continue to innovate and develop, achieving remarkable results in energy efficiency enhancement and energy-saving renovation; high-end curtain wall glass in the glass deep-processed products sector, by virtue of ultra-large sizes, ultra-curved surfaces, and high-performance coating technologies, significantly reduces building energy consumption while realizing architectural aesthetics; products such as Liuli glass and high-temperature electric kilns realize low energy consumption and zero-carbon emissions through pure electric drive, serving as typical practices of green building materials.

In the exchanges with media journalists, Gao Xueming shared core reflections centering around innovation and green strategies. He expressed that NorthGlass's innovation is rooted in corporate culture, the key lies in encouraging technical personnel to try boldly, and hard work is the foundation of innovation—only through hard work can one truly enjoy the fruits.

In terms of green strategy, NorthGlass shared its green design philosophy: each industry integrates green attributes from the underlying logic, and building energy efficiency itself is an important contribution. NorthGlass has both the capability to manufacture advanced equipment and the ability to produce high-quality glass. Driven precisely by this philosophy, NorthGlass has formed a complete layout from high-end equipment to high-end curtain wall glass, constructing a unique development model of "one industry, dual-wheel drive of equipment + glass."

At the activity site, Zhang Hanwen, assistant to the director of the International Cooperation Department of the China Building Materials Federation; Li Yang from the Aluminum Doors, Windows and Curtain Walls Branch of the China China Building Metal Structure Association; Li Dian, vice president of the Engineering Consulting and Design Institute of CABR Technology Co., Ltd.; Wang Li, technical director of the Glass Division of CTC Group; Zhang Zhong, president of the Luoyang Glass Industry Association; and Zhang Weihua, general manager of Luoyang Longxin Industrial Group Co., Ltd., also shared unique viewpoints around the green, low-carbon, safe, and high-quality development of the building materials and glass industries.

After the visit, members of the journalist delegation expressed one after another that NorthGlass's continuous R&D investment and high-end market positioning show that green is not a cost, but competitiveness. Some journalists also paid attention to the export situation of NorthGlass tempering furnaces; when hearing that products are exported to more than 110 countries and regions, covering almost all major developed countries, they believed that behind the numbers, it displays China's equipment capability to serve the world.

"Six-Zero" is a vision, and even more so, an action. For more than thirty years, starting from the first domestic tempering furnace to providing high-end equipment and glass products for the world today, NorthGlass continues to lead the development of China's glass deep processing manufacturing industry. Facing the future, NorthGlass stated that it will continue to take innovation as the engine, allowing "NorthGlass Smart Manufacturing" to play a more core role in the green and low-carbon transformation of the building materials industry, contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality goals.

Luoyang Northern Glass Technology Co., Ltd., abbreviated as "NorthGlass," established on May 18, 1995, is a high-tech enterprise mainly engaged in the research and development, design, manufacturing, production, and sales of glass deep processing equipment and glass deep-processed products.
