On August 24, Wu Qingtao, Party Secretary and President of China Building Materials Federation, led a delegation to Tianshan Material Co., Ltd. for work exchanges, and held a discussion with Zhao Xinjun, Vice President of the Federation, Party Secretary, and Chairman of Tianshan Material. Liu Jianhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Resident Vice President of the Federation, Sun Xingshou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Resident Vice President, and Secretary-General of the Federation, as well as Man Gaopeng, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Tianshan Material, Liu Zonghu, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, and Jiang Dehong, Vice President and Chief Engineer, attended the symposium. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions around capacity management, green and low-carbon development, and other aspects of the cement industry, and determined to further strengthen cooperation to jointly promote the healthy development of the industry.

Wu Qingtao affirmed Tianshan Material's active role as a large corporate group in promoting the healthy development of the cement industry, and expressed gratitude to Tianshan Material for its long-standing support to the Federation. He stated that the current demand in the cement market is declining rapidly, the industry's economies of scale and returns have severely dropped, and the issue of overcapacity has become increasingly prominent. The top priority is to curb the intensifying decline in the industry's economic performance, with the core being to address the sharp supply-demand contradiction caused by severe overcapacity of cement clinker and sustained low market demand through further deepening cement capacity management, treating both symptoms and root causes, giving full play to the synergistic role and additive effect of government, industry, and enterprises, and accelerating the reconstruction of supply-demand relations and industry ecology to break through the industry's development plight. He expressed hope that Tianshan Material would play a leading role as a major enterprise, actively participate in and jointly advance cement industry capacity management, and deepen governance outcomes.

Zhao Xinjun welcomed the visit of Wu Qingtao and his delegation, and expressed gratitude to the Federation for its long-standing care and guidance to Tianshan Material. He introduced the operating performance of Tianshan Material and its affiliated enterprises in the first half of the year, stating that the company will proactively play a demonstration and leading role to actively promote the benign and orderly development of the industry. He hoped that both sides would further deepen cooperation, gather industry efforts, improve relevant measures such as capacity management, promote the implementation and effectiveness of relevant industry policies, and jointly support the transformation, upgrading, and sustainable development of the building materials industry.
