On August 26, Wu Qingtao, Party Secretary and President of China Building Materials Federation, led a delegation to Jiangsu Sobute New Materials Co., Ltd., held a discussion with Miao Changwen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor at Southeast University, and visited Sobute's enterprise exhibition hall and the State Key Laboratory of High Performance Civil Engineering Materials. Liu Jianhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Resident Vice President of the Federation, Sun Xingshou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Resident Vice President, and Secretary-General of the Federation; Zhang Lanrong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Resident Vice President of Jiangsu Building Materials Industry Association, Wang Jisheng, Secretary-General; Mao Liangxi, Chairman of Sobute, and Hong Jinxiang, General Manager, attended the symposium.
Wu Qingtao affirmed Sobute's active efforts and achievements in scientific and technological innovation, and expressed gratitude to Sobute for its strong support to the Federation's work. He pointed out that the current building materials industry is facing both the urgent task of upgrading traditional industries and a key transition period for accelerating breakthroughs in inorganic non-metallic new materials. He expressed hope that Sobute would base itself on the urgent needs of the country and the industry, focus on the frontier of industrial development, continuously intensify efforts to tackle key core technologies, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the industry, and empower the high-quality development of the building materials industry.
Miao Changwen welcomed the visit of Wu Qingtao and his delegation, and expressed gratitude to the Federation for its long-standing care and guidance to Sobute. He introduced Sobute's development history and development strategy, as well as its work progress and achievements in scientific and technological innovation and application in major engineering projects. He stated that Sobute will continue to tackle key problems around new materials and new technologies, strive to achieve more breakthroughs in key core fields, and will continue to support and actively participate in various tasks of the Federation.
The two sides held in-depth exchanges and will further deepen cooperation around carrying out research on inorganic non-metallic new materials, strengthening key core technology innovation, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, cultivating scientific and technological talent, promoting science and technology awards, and advancing "AI + Building Materials."
