On August 26, Wu Qingtao, Party Secretary and President of China Building Materials Federation, led a delegation to Jiangsu Jinfeng Cement Group Co., Ltd., and held a discussion and exchange with Xu Guisheng, President of Jiangsu Building Materials Industry Association and Chairman of Jinfeng Cement. Liu Jianhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Resident Vice President of the Federation, Sun Xingshou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Resident Vice President, and Secretary-General of the Federation; Zhang Lanrong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Resident Vice President of Jiangsu Building Materials Industry Association, Wang Jisheng, Secretary-General; and Xu Yunfei, General Manager of Jinfeng Cement, attended the symposium.

The two sides conducted in-depth communication on the production and operation of the national and Jiangsu provincial cement industries, as well as the status of capacity management in the cement industry. Both sides stated that in the face of current severe situations such as declining market demand, falling economies of scale, and worsening overcapacity in the cement industry, curbing the decline in the industry's economic performance must be taken as the top priority. They emphasized deepening capacity management in the cement industry, adhering to treating both symptoms and root causes, focusing on resolving supply-demand contradictions caused by excess capacity and low demand levels, accelerating the reconstruction of supply-demand relations and industry ecology, and helping the industry break through its development plight.
