On September 22, Wu Qingtao, President of China Building Materials Federation, met with a visiting delegation led by Zhang Anping, Chairman of TCC Group. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges around capacity management in the cement industry and green and low-carbon development transformation during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. Liu Jianhua, Resident Vice President of the Federation, and Sun Xingshou, Resident Vice President and Secretary-General, attended the symposium.
Wu Qingtao welcomed the visit of Zhang Anping and his delegation, and affirmed TCC Group's active fulfillment of social responsibilities and its continuous deep practice of corporate green development with remarkable results. He pointed out that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the building materials industry must focus on optimizing and upgrading traditional building materials industries, cultivating and expanding the inorganic non-metallic new materials industry, and integrating and upgrading the non-metallic mineral resources industry, so as to promote the adjustment of the industry's industrial structure and power transformation, and effectively respond to drastic adjustments in market structure and changes in upstream and downstream industrial demand. The cement industry must continue to deepen and advance capacity management, promote the optimization and adjustment of the supply and demand structure, and achieve quality enhancement and efficiency improvement; adhere to the direction of green and low-carbon development, deepen energy structure adjustment, and continuously increase the ratio of coal substitution and green electricity application; continuously improve the recycling level of bulk solid waste and promote raw material substitution; accelerate the research, development, production, and application of low-carbon and carbon-fixing cementitious materials, enrich the low-carbon product system, and take multiple measures to accelerate energy conservation and carbon reduction in the cement industry, promoting coordinated green development of the upstream and downstream industrial chain, and contributing to the construction of a Beautiful China. The Federation will strengthen organization, coordination, and guidance around the requirements of the building materials industry's "15th Five-Year Plan" development goals, continuously advancing the industry's green, low-carbon, safe, and high-quality development.
Zhang Anping expressed gratitude to the Federation for its support to TCC, introduced TCC's circular economy practice of "urban mining," as well as its technical explorations in building waste recycling, recycled aggregates, pervious concrete, and research and development of new low-carbon cementitious materials, and stated that TCC will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the Federation in capacity management in the cement industry, green and low-carbon development transformation, and other aspects.
